Visiting Matera was an unforgettable experience, thanks in no small part to La Corte Dei Pastori. The charm of our spacious room with its magnificent terrace view was just breathtaking. Owners Tiziana and Domenico were exceptional hosts, offering plenty of local insights. Breakfast, filled with delicious local delicacies, was served right on our terrace each morning, making it a pleasant ritual to start our days. The location provided easy access to some of the best restaurants and stunning views of the ancient town.

While our stay was delightful, the bed linens were a bit lacking in quality, and more comfortable pillows would have enhanced our experience. Additionally, some shelves in the bathroom would have been appreciated for convenience. Despite these small details, our time at La Corte Dei Pastori was truly memorable.

Make sure to enjoy evening drinks on the terrace. the sunset views are simply spectacular against the ancient town backdrop.

Waking up to the view of St Peter's church from our window was a highlight. The breakfast setting provided a lovely atmosphere, making our mornings quite enjoyable.

Navigating the area with luggage was a hassle due to the distance from the parking to the hotel, which involved a 15-minute walk. Additionally, while the shower was generally fine, a few degrees hotter would have made it even better for a more satisfying experience.

We had a wonderful stay with our precious dog! The location was incredible, and we enjoyed the comfortable room with a magnificent view. Breakfast was a highlight, served right on our terrace, making it a beautiful part of our family mornings.

la corte dei pastori bed & breakfast has an amazing location with views over the main piazza in sasso caveoso. our room was partially in a cave, adding a unique touch. the lovely garden was perfect for breakfast, featuring scrambled eggs, local cheese, and even fresh figs from the trees.

The Superior Double Room was such a standout! It was massive with cool rock walls and a barrel roof. Our terrace had the best view for evening drinks, overlooking the stunning town and church. The kitchen setup was really nice too, with everything you need. Just a couple of things to note—more comfy pillows would have been great, and some bathroom shelves would have helped. But honestly, the space and vibe were fantastic!
